Do I really need therapy?
We all get stuck sometimes. That's when it really does help to have someone who is educated, unbiased, and confidential to talk to about your problems or frustrations in life. Cognitive behavioral therapy works to change the automatic thought processes that lead to our behavior. Motivational Interviewing is another style I use which basically allows you to identify and use your own motivations to get the change you desire. You already have all the answers! -It just takes a little help to discover them.
But, I was taught not to share family problems...
The difference here between speaking with a friend or relative for advice is that in therapy, you get feedback from an unbiased, 3rd party person, educated with the interventions and skills necessary to help you SOLVE issues. Confidentiality is my priority, and I highly respect each client's level of discretion as to what they feel is comfortable to discuss.
Worried about where to start?
Start with an initial consultation so we can see if this is the right resource and fit for you.
If financially or personally we don’t click, I’ll still send you off with personal referrals to other colleagues that I believe may be great leads for you, so your time is never wasted.
