Eye movement, desensitization, and re-processing or EMDR is most recommended for clients struggling to overcome significant hurts in their life, such as trauma it helps individuals re-process and reframe distressing memories by simulating REM sleep, and allowing the brain to balance its emotional and logical sides at the same time thus rewiring negative thought patterns into something that Foster is healing and resilience This technique can be done in one session or multiple, but I often find that even one session of EMDR open new doors of thought that can alleviate the client long-term.
